About the role:

Must be enrolled in a post secondary program and be available to start a co-op term from September 2021 - December 2021.

As a Co-op Associate Project Coordinator you will be a member of the project management office in our Canadian Mortgage Technology Division Filogix, you will participate in running large technology projects. You will be involved in the planning, design, and configuration/build phases of major projects, with a focus on agile delivery and learning from an experienced project leadership team how to launch and manage technology projects. In addition, candidates will work with the latest development and database technologies and Agile development methods as well as assist in the creation and maintenance of project plans for several streams, project status reports, logs, and other project management work products. With these responsibilities comes exposure to Finastra business operations in the form of meetings and work sessions.

What you'll do:

  • Support Project Managers manage client technology projects ensuring they remain in scope, on schedule, and within set budgets as well as communicate any potential challenges.

  • Engage in tracking project financials as well as understand and communicate any budgetary concerns.

  • Monthly project burn rate reports.

  • Support vendor invoice processing: vendor Invoice reconciliation against time tracking system, communicate discrepancies to vendor if applicable, facilitate internal approvals, work closely with Accounts Payable team.

  • Manage the day to day reporting of delivery - Financial, risk, and progress.

  • Coordinate project activities among project team members to ensure deliverables are being met in a timely fashion.

  • Provide project status reports, assist in the development and the maintenance of project plans. Contribute to development and/or testing of components as required.

  • Work cross functionally consistently and effectively, work collaboratively in teams.

  • Communication with stakeholders; consultation and collaboration internally.

  • Create management metrics which can be measured on a weekly basis to monitor the risk and success of delivery projects.

  • Manage SharePoint repositories for project deliverables.

  • Manage user access for the project time tracking system.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail

  • Self-reliant and results oriented

  • Ability to balance multiple assignments while adhering to aggressive timelines

  • Ability to work efficiently in team settings as well as individually

  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft SharePoint is an asset

  • Experience with Jira software is an asset
